Cookie Policy
What we store in your browser, who sets it, how long it lasts and how to change your mind.
This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies (“cookies”) polimake.com uses, what for, and how you can accept them, reject them or change your choice, in accordance with Article 22.2 of the Spanish Information Society Services Act (LSSI), the GDPR and the Spanish Data Protection Agency's (AEPD) cookie guidelines.
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. Here we also include browser storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) and third-party pixels or scripts that read or store information on your device.

NEBULAR MEDIA SLU (owner of the Polimake brand) · Tax ID B56931686 · Calle Platería 6, Piso 2B, 30004 Murcia, Spain · dpo@polimake.com
2. How you choose
Today polimake.com only uses necessary cookies, which is why we show you no cookie notice: we store or read nothing optional in your browser, and no Google or Meta script is downloaded.
The only thing that needs your permission is server-side conversions (section 3.4): telling the ad network that brought you that you signed up or downloaded something. We ask you with an unticked box where you do it: in the sign-up window and in the resource forms. If you leave it unticked, nothing is sent.
If we ever turn on the analytics or marketing cookies in sections 3.3 and 3.4, we will ask you first with a notice where rejecting is as easy as accepting, and they will not load until you say yes.
We keep your choice for 12 months in the pm_consent cookie. After that, or if we change the categories in this policy, we will ask you again.
3. Cookies we use
3.1. Necessary (no consent required)
Essential for the site to work, to keep you signed in and to remember the choices you make.
| Cookie / storage | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
pm_consent | Polimake (.polimake.com) | Store your cookie choice | 12 months |
__session and __session__N | Polimake (Auth0) | Keep you securely signed in | Up to 3 days, 1 day of inactivity, or until you sign out |
pm_sso | Polimake (.polimake.com) | Tell our apps whether you are signed in, with no readable personal data | 30 days |
pw_sso_self, pw_sso_try, pw_sso_closing | Polimake | Coordinate signing in and out between the website and the apps | 30 days, 24 hours and 30 seconds |
auth0, auth0_compat, did, did_compat | Auth0 (Okta, Inc.), on auth.polimake.com | Sign-in security and fraud prevention | Per Auth0's session settings |
NEXT_LOCALE | Polimake | Remember the language you pick in the switcher | 1 year |
localStorage (free tools and notices) | Polimake | Count usage of the free tools and avoid showing a notice you already closed | Until you clear it |
sessionStorage (notices) | Polimake | Avoid showing you the same free-resource notice twice in one visit | Until you close the tab |
3.2. Our own measurement, without cookies
We measure which pages get read (reading time, scrolling, outbound links and the page you arrived on) with our own system hosted on Cloudflare. It uses no cookies and stores nothing in your browser: pages are linked by a temporary identifier carried in the URL itself, and we do not sell or hand it to third parties: it only tells us which content works and which article each sign-up came from.
3.3. Analytics (not used today; would require your consent)
| Cookie | Provider | Location | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga_*) | Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC | EU and US | 2 years |
3.4. Marketing (consent required; today we only use server-side conversions)
| Cookie / technology | Provider | Location | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
Google Ads (_gcl_au) | Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC | EU and US | 90 days |
Meta Pixel (_fbp, _fbc) | Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. | EU and US | 90 days |
| Server-side conversions for Meta, TikTok and OpenAI (ChatGPT Ads) | Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., TikTok Technology Ltd., OpenAI OpCo, LLC | EU and US | Store nothing in your browser |
Server-side conversions are not cookies: when you sign up, subscribe or download a resource, our server tells the ad network that brought you, sending your hashed email (SHA-256), your IP address, your browser and the ad click ID. We only do this if you accepted the marketing category or, for that single submission, ticked the optional box in the form.
4. How to change or withdraw your choice
- From the Privacy preferences link at the bottom of every page, at any time, or by unticking the box at sign-up. If you withdraw consent, we delete that category's cookies and reload the page.
- From your browser settings, which let you block or delete cookies, though not by category. If you block the necessary ones, you will not be able to sign in.
More about interest-based advertising: Your Online Choices.
5. What happens if you reject
You can use the whole site and create your account just the same. We simply stop measuring with third-party tools and stop telling ad networks that you came from them.
6. International transfers
Google, Meta, TikTok and OpenAI may process data in the US. They do so under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF) or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. More detail in our privacy policy.
7. Changes to this policy
If we add or remove cookies, we will update this page and its date. If the change affects what you accepted, we will ask you again.
