Usage example
Use a script to search your recordings for scenes and prepare a shot selection before starting the edit.
Starting material
You have a one-minute script about how a product is made and recordings from several workshop visits. You need shots of preparation, assembly and finishing.
Request
In an assistant connected to Polimake, ask: “Search the workshop project for candidates for these three script sections. Give the file and moment for each shot. Flag any section without enough material.”
You can also search directly in the library: “hands preparing tools”, “assembling a component” and “close-up of the finish”.
Work
Polimake retrieves scenes within recordings. Review the candidates, play each segment and check that the action matches the script. Note its useful duration and choose an alternative for the main shots.
Take the selected files into your editor. If your assistant has connected editing tools, this selection can feed the edit; search supplies the material and editing builds the sequence.
Result
A shot list linked to the script, with files, moments and gaps requiring a new take. You can start editing with a reviewed selection.
